I have been an NHS GP partner for the last 10 years and have seen the workload in general practice grow rapidly.
My aim has been to find ways to make general practice more and more efficient while continuing to offer excellent care.
Our practice has been rated "Outstanding" twice in a row by the CQC and our triage model singled out as worthy of praise.
While running turn-around teams for struggling practices I have found this clinician-led triage system consistently to be the best way to add effective capacity and making a huge difference to staff morale. I have successfully launched this triage model in a number of practices.
My goal now is to share my learning and techniques to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary workload, bringing joy back into the lives of other GPs.
